Reasons for Exercising

Exercise has the possibility not only to contribute to our physical health, but our mental health as well. Below are some of the best reasons why you should begin an exercise routine:

1. Weight loss promotion - Dieting without exercising is a waste of time. You will need to incorporate cardio vascular exercises in order to promote weight loss. Cardio vascular exercises usually include anything that really gets your heart going such as stair stepping, rowing, running and jumping. When you work off a sweat, you will be burning calories. Try to make sure that you drink plenty of water when doing cardio vascular exercises in order to fully replenish fluids that you might have lost through sweat;

2. Energy level increase - You might think that exercising in the morning will drain you of all your energy, but in fact, it is just the opposite which is true. You will actually find that you have far more energy when you exercise vigorously in the morning and that it is this energy which will carry you through the day;

3. Alleviates stress - Nothing beats stress like a good physical workout. Most of us face situations of intense stress throughout our lives and we can actually work it all out through some effective exercising. Both cardio vascular exercising and low impact exercising can make it possible to alleviate stress;

4. Muscle toning - If you would like to see some toned muscles, you will have to do some low impact stretching exercises such as Pilates. Pilates place emphasis on the muscles and stretch them to the limit, giving them a sharp tone. Sit ups are also usually integrated into Pilates. If you would like those six-pack abdominals, you will need to tone up your abdomen with sit ups and Pilates;

5. Back pain relief - Much lower back pain is most often due to inactivity. One way to effectively eliminate lower back pain is through exercise. People who are sedentary will tend to complain more of aches and pains, especially in the back, than those people who are more active;

6. Keeps your heart healthy - If you would like to to keep your heart beat at a healthy level, try to make sure that you always get plenty of exercise. Exercising will promote a more healthy and regular blood flow and will also keeps your heart pumping better and stronger;

7. Depression and anxiety reduction - Exercise can not only improve your physical being, but also your mental being as well. Exercise can raise your endorphins which are said to also control the chemical processes at work in your brain. Additionally to raising your energy level, exercise is also a natural mood booster, and much safer than any kind of artificial pills. Whether you might be suffering from anxiety or depression, or both, exercise is always a must in order to help reduce some of its symptoms;

8. Cellulite reduction - Those pockets of flesh on your thighs and bottom are called cellulite. This condition can easily be eliminated though some regular exercise and training. Getting the blood flow back into those areas will works well in order to get rid of cellulite and you should therefore notice some effective results within a week.

9. Staves off disease - The medical community often believes that the possibility of getting some diseases, including diabetes and some types of cancer, can be reduced through steady and regular exercise.

10. Concentration improvement - Because exercise makes it possible to raise your serotonin levels, you will find yourself far more able to have a better memory as well as improved concentration.

When you feel positive about yourself, both mentally and physically, you will also develop some better levels of confidence. This will be reflected and transmitted to others who will pick up on your new found confidence and find you far more attractive, dynamic and interesting. Exercising has so many benefits that it is sometimes foolish not to incorporate it more completely into your daily routine right away.
